Chapter 3
It had been a day since Sonic allowed Blaze to stay at his house.
It was late in the noon and Blaze was sitting at Sonic's dining table while Sonic was cooking something.
"Sonic, what are you cooking?" Blaze asked.
"Something healthy and delicious!" He yelled back.
Blaze sniffed the air.
There was a slight smell of meat and cheese.
She heard a sizzle from the kitchen.
"Sonic, may I remind you I'm a vegetarian!?" Blaze called out.
"..."
She heard the sound of something being tossed down a garbage can, a girlish yelp, and Sonic came out with a bowl of greens.
"Okay Blaze, here you, sniff, go." He said through tears.
"Sonic, what's wrong?" Blaze asked.
"Precious, Chillidogs! DEAD!" He cried, curling into fedal position.
"I'm sorry Sonic, you didn't have to do that for me." Blaze apologized.
"No, it's okay. They were just..."
He held his neck at the next part.
"C-Chillidogs!"
He fell on the floor and resumed fedal position.
'Wow, Sonic did that, for me? But, why?' Blaze asked herself.
She ran into the kitchen and started brewing up a storm.
"Blaze, what are you doing?" Sonic asked loudly.
"..."
Sonic heard a gag, then the door flew open and Blaze came out with a platter of Chillidogs.
Each of them looked as if they were made of gold.
Sonic stared at them with hunger.
"Those. Look. Delicious!" Sonic's eyes watered, drool dripping from his mouth.
He stared at Blaze.
'It's like heaven!' Sonic thought to himself.
'Which part? Blaze or the chillidogs?' His inner voice asked.
'Both.'
Blaze held out the platter.
"All yours." She smiled.
Sonic immedeatly made a pig of himself and devoured all the chillidogs, licking his fingers clean.
"Where'd you learn to cook?" Sonic asked.
"Well, I was forced to go through royal training. If I'm ever caught alone in a dangerous position, I can make a fire by myself." She stated proudly.
"Oooh, must be tough to make a fire for you."
Blaze's eye twitched.
"May I remind you this was before I was cursed." She gritted through her teeth.
"Oh, okay." Sonic put his finger to his chin in thought.
"Hey Blaze, remind me how you got cursed."
Blaze choked on a carrot she was preparing to consume.
"Cough, Cough. Umm, I guess, Tomorrow." Blaze said blantly before running off to the guest room.
"...What's up with her?" Sonic asked himself.
Back at the hospital,
Silver managed to fall asleep.
His drean was pitch black.
"Where am I?" He constantly asked himself.
''Hello!'' He yelled.
His echo boomed.
"Blaze! Amy! Someone!''
He yelled so loud an earth tremor began.
He was knocked of balance by the rumbling, only to be caught.
"Blaze, thank goddne-" He froze solid when he saw his saviour.
It wasn't Blaze like he thought, but instead it was...
EGGMAN!
Kidding.
You all saw it, it was Amy.
"Amy?" He asked.
"That's Amy Hedgehog to you." She winked, then dissappeared.
"Amy wait!" He stood up and chased darkness.
"SILVER!"
He tensed up as he turned around.
Blaze was staring at him.
"Why Amy!? Why not me!? I thought you loved me. I guess I was wrong."
Blaze looked away, dabbing her eye with a handkercheif.
"Blaze..." He held her and looked at her face.
Silver stared into her indigo eyes.
"Silver. Silver. SILVER WAKE UP!"
"AAAAAAGH!"
Silver pounced out of his bed and landed on his arm.
His bad one.
"AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHH!" Silver's eyes teared with pain.
"Silver!" The mysterious waker helped Silver into his bed and rubbed his arm.
"I'm sorry Silver, I didn't mean to hurt you."
Silver, whom already had a good guess, opened his paining eyes to see who startled him awake.
As he suspected.
"Good morning Amy." He managed before sighing in pain.
"I'm so sorry. Is there any way I can make it up to you?" She asked.
"No, I'm fine. But can you tell me why you came here so early?" Silver asked.
"Well..." Amy looked away.
Silver spotted a bit of red under the pink on her face.
"...I couldn't stop thinking, about you."
These words created an emotional explosion inside of Silver.
"You... couldn't?" he asked.
"No. I kept thinking, if you passed away here at the hospital, I know it wasn't, but I'd probably blame myself for not checking up on you. I ran here as fast as possible to make sure youm were okay."
Silver blushed.
'Amy's thought, her consideration. Either Sonic's an idiot, or he has his eye set on another woman.'
Amy scratched the back of her head.
"You think I should go apologize to the crippled couple I accidently ran over?" Amy asked innocently.
"Probably, but..." Silver stopped.
"What's up?" Amy asked.
"Well, I hate to ask, but, do you think you could go and find Blaze for me?" Silver asked.
"Of...course." She responded slowly.
"I'll be sure to find her.''
Although Silver couldn't see it, Amy's tone was a bit broken-hearted.
She did do a good job at concealing it though.
'Amy Hedgehog it is.' Silver settled himself.
